A Wine You Should Be Drinking: Corollary Wines Momtazi Carbonic Rosé 2020
Because sparkling wine is one of my love languages
If you haven’t been to Oregon wine country, let's start there. Willamette Valley is the largest of the state’s wine regions, but don’t worry, I will be covering the other wine regions in Oregon. I love their wines so much. I’ve made friends who are family in the region and they are one of the reasons I keep returning to visit and taste.
When I first tasted Corollary Wines sparkling goodness I was immediately hooked. Fresh, fun, lively, and utterly intoxicating. Corollary produces a variety of sparkling wines, but it was their Corollary Wines Momtazi Carbonic Rosé 2020 that was the gateway to my Corollary wine fix. It is at times savory and a citrus concoction of flavor. This is a small production, less than 70 cases and a real crowd-pleasing wine, perfect for an aperitif or worthy of a meal.
One of my decisions in how I select wines to write about includes the producers. There is so much wine out there and I’ve made it my mission to drink wine from cool people. How do I help them grow? How do I get them in front of more people? Jeanne and Dan are those people. It doesn’t hurt that Jeanne and I gush about more than wine. Our affinity for handbags is a way we bond on wine and beyond.
Corollary is opening a tasting room and I hope it’s ready for my July visit.

Love Willamette wines and can’t wait to try this the next time I’m there!
On cool small producers: Have you heard of Jes Gao’s Garage Gal? I read about it on the One Thing Substack and sounded interesting—would love to hear your thoughts! https://onethingnewsletter.substack.com/p/rescue-natural-wine
